BE FIT - TIPS Share YOUR FIT Tips

Being FIT & Healthy is important! We know this however we all are guilty at one time or another of making excuses as to why we don't exercise and eat right. Let's face it - the truth is we are all busy with life, kids, jobs, husbands, elderly parents & so much more that by the end of each day we can't squeeze out one more drop of energy - RIGHT? I understand as I am guilty of this too. What I do know for myself is that when I do make the time to cook and eat better the result is I feel better. After I exercise I have more energy and feel happy! Yes, I exercise 4 days a week - easy for me to do because I teach Fitness right? BUT I can benefit more if I would take 2 hours a week and get some weight training in because as we age we need more muscle to burn calories and surround our bones! Exercise also releases natural endorphans which help to raise our moods. IT IS GOOD to be FIT!

Here are just a few tips for getting a START on your FITNESS!

* DECIDE:  to set aside time - even if it just 15 minutes a day to walk, stretch, jog in place, jump rope something to get you moving
* JOURNAL:  Write it down and keep track of it for a week. What you did, how long, how many times, and how you felt after
* DIET: I hate this word so STOP using it! HEALTHY EATING sounds better and doesn't make you feel bad about food! Write down what you eat for 3 days - and how you feel after eating it. Decide what you can do without or better replace with something healthy! (If you want ANY Help I am available - I have a sports nutrition certification!)

Once you get started you will feel better! It is important to take time out of your busy life for YOU! If you are NOT Happy inside it shows on the outside!!
